These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Qvnt mobile application ("the Application"), published on the Apple App Store by Mircea Tanasă as an individual developer ("the Developer", "I"). By installing or using the Application, you agree to these Terms.
Qvnt is a free word-puzzle game for iOS that presents a daily Romanian word for you to guess in six attempts, plus a practice mode with random words. The Application is offered to you free of charge and as-is, with no warranties beyond those required by applicable law.
I grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Application on iOS devices you personally own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
The name "Qvnt", the QVNT wordmark, the 2×2 tile mark, the app icon, the visual design system (including colours and typography choices), and the source code of the Application are the intellectual property of the Developer. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Application or its assets, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
The Romanian word lists embedded in the Application are derived from publicly available linguistic sources, including dexonline.ro. The IBM Plex font family is included under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
Version 1.0 of the Application does not require an account, does not offer in-app purchases, and does not display advertisements. Future versions may introduce optional in-app purchases; if they do, the terms of those purchases will be made clear to you before any payment is taken, and these Terms will be updated accordingly.
The handling of your information is described in the Privacy Policy. In short: Qvnt collects no personal data and stores all your progress locally on your device.
Tapping a submitted guess in the game grid opens dexonline.ro in your browser to show the dictionary definition of that word. The Developer does not control dexonline.ro and is not responsible for its content, availability, or privacy practices.
I aim to keep the Application working and up to date but make no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. I may update, modify, or discontinue the Application or any of its features at any time. Material changes that affect your use will be communicated through the App Store release notes.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Application is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The Developer does not warrant that the Application will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Application will meet your specific requirements.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Application. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it from your device. I may suspend or terminate your licence to use the Application if you breach these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Application shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Romanian courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
These Terms may be updated from time to time, in particular when the Application introduces new features (such as in-app purchases or multiplayer). The most current version will always be available at this URL, with the effective date updated at the top.
